Scripture Markup (Exposition)

I know it’s been a while since I provided a substantive post (and unfortunately, this one isn’t deep or lengthy either). I’ve wanted to post, but I’ve been a little preoccupied with other activities. These other activities have been good, nonetheless—they just haven’t been quite “blog-centered.”

With that said, the picture above is a markup of Matthew 7:21-23. I wanted to share it because I considered doing a brief series showing how I occasionally highlight  various scriptural texts for deeper study or sermon prep. Much like phrasing or some sort of sentence diagramming, this markup helps me to visually communicate connections in the process of hermeneutical exegesis.

The picture reflects some of my markings in recent months prior to sharing a word with the local church on the importance of obedience. Perhaps we’ll see more of this “Scripture Expo” (exposition) with video commentary in the future.
